- The contract's base salary
- Whether you are married and, if so, whether both of you have income
- How many dependants you have
- Whether you receive a meal allowance, in what form and of what amount
What this result includes — and what it does not
This result is indicative and is there to help you get your bearings. The final figures are confirmed by the bank and by the State services at the time of the transaction — and our credit adviser checks them with you, at no cost.
WITHHOLDING IS NOT THE TAX. It is an advance on the year's IRS, settled in your return — plenty of people get part of it back. Anyone with deductible expenses or particular circumstances settles up there, not here.
It simulates a normal working month. The holiday and Christmas allowances are taxed separately, and anyone receiving them in twelfths has a different calculation that this simulator does not yet do.
It applies to mainland Portugal and to taxpayers without a disability. The Autonomous Regions and taxpayers with a disability have scales of their own, which are not here yet — we would rather not offer the option than give you a wrong figure.
